I’m a work-at-home mother of two who resides, reluctantly, in Florida, the land of sprawl, serial killers and an inordinate number of registered sex offenders.
I hope to someday live somewhere less notorious and more progressive but until then I continue to bide my time by searching locally for intelligent life, buttwiping, carpooling and thinking of ways to get out of cooking dinner for my very patient and understanding family.
I am the founder/publisher of Moms Speak Up (we were just linked by CNN!) and co-founder and editor of Green Mom Finds, as well as a graphic designer who moonlights designing blogs to help support my pricey Thai food addiction.
My turn-ons include kingsize beds, room-darkening shades and white noise machines.
Interests: Media, eyeing popular culture balefully, computers, web development, organics, new urbanism, progressive politics, children, babies, environmental activism, NPR, blogging, reading.

Favorite Music: The Pixies, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, 80’s synthpop
Favorite Books: An avid reader (read: book nerd) since childhood, I love books, as well as magazines, newspapers, cereal boxes and other forms of the written word and thus I wouldn’t even know where to start on this one so I’m going to skip it.
