The Ex-Mrs. Hedgefund mysteriously appeared in my mailbox one day. I assume it was a review copy from a publisher that has sent me books before. I get so much PR email that I can’t remember if I agreed to review it or not but I found the description compelling enough to take a gander and ended up reading it in a day.
In a nutshell, a wealthy but down-to-earth hedgefund manager’s wife in NYC suddenly finds her comfortable world upended when her husband gets caught having an affair and asks for a divorce. Trying to find where a newly divorced mother of one fits into her world, she finds a job and begins dating again. Romance and other adventures ensue!
I really enjoyed The Ex-Mrs. Hedgefund. It’s not literature by any means but it was a quick read that held my interest and I’d definitely recommend it for your beach bag this summer if you like chick-lit type books and enjoy reading about how the other half lives (the other half being ridiculously wealthy women in New York City.)
