Thoughts on a Tagline

January 13, 2009

Tagline. Notice I don’t have one. I mean it’s not like a requirement or anything but sometimes it can help illuminate a bit about the author.

So…in keeping with the caffeine/coffee/I-stay-up-way-too-late thing that is the inspiration for this blog’s name, I started mentally toying with taglines.

Best one yet:

Always Up. Always Hot.

lololololol

I crack myself up.

What? Think you can do better?

I am in the middle of a blog redesign (um, lets be frank, my blog EXPLODED and has been offline all day) and the tagline thing had me stumped.

    Yours is AWESOME!

You have to use it. Or I will.

You crack me up, too. I like the new blog. I’m in the process of making a switcheroo too for somewhat the exact same reason, but if it’s not one thing, it’s another… I’ll keep you posted.

I’ve been a fan of yours for a while and can’t wait to read more.

    OK…

    “there’s always something brewing”

“give me my coffee and no one gets hurt”

    It’s early… I might have more later.

Simply Stimulating. That’s my 2 cents.

I like the “Simply Stimulating” one…or simply stimulatte, but that looks like the name of an ED pill.

  10. ali on January 13, 2009 at 9:51 am

    bean there, done that.

    hahah.
aka…totally not at all funny. but it’s 10am. my brain is not awake yet.

  12. patois on January 13, 2009 at 10:21 am

And what’s wrong with sounding like an ED pill, I wonder?

  13. Amy Nathan on January 13, 2009 at 10:36 am

    Always strong. Sometimes bitter.

(and I mean those in only the best possible way of course)

  14. Rae Ann on January 13, 2009 at 10:57 am

The latest buzz courtesy of Starbucks.

That’s my best shot. (Hey! Best shots! That is something you could work with.) I like the one about strong and bitter.

  15. WaltzInExile on January 13, 2009 at 11:20 am

How can I be the first person to bring up all of the current advertising buzzwords? How did no one beat me to this already? Fair Trade? (You give us your thoughts, we give you ours.) Organic? (I’m assuming you’re not an alien.) Shade Grown? (CAN a person grow in the shade, though? This one might not work.) Smooth? A fine body? Low acidity? (Although that might imply less sarcasm than you’d like.)

I think I may have just told you all entirely too much about my relationship with coffee. How embarrassing.

The “Open 24 Hrs” sign in your header photo already seems like a tagline to me (and can I say again how much I looove your header pic!)

  24. Mia on January 13, 2009 at 11:44 pm

Funny, I’m looking for a tagline for my blog as well.

As for yours, I don’t have any in particular for you. I would agree however with:

Musing re: the Open 24 hours sign
Chris re: Submit to the Bold Flavor
    Apryl’s Antics re: Simply Stimulating

And of course yours…always up, always hot.

    Good luck on the line!

  25. Mirinda on January 14, 2009 at 2:19 pm

First thing that came to mind was the Open 24 hours…love submit to the bold flavor and your idea as well…dirty humour is always great :)

  26. Chris on January 14, 2009 at 4:19 pm

    Oh, one more!

The Caffeinatrix - Earl Grey has left the building.

Hell no I can’t do better and neither can your readers. Love it. Go for it.

  29. Ms Blue on January 15, 2009 at 2:17 am

Well I know that I can’t live without coffee and that it is my favorite part of every day! I like that tagline. All I can come up with is “Get addicted!”

  30. kittenpie on January 16, 2009 at 1:26 am

    Tall, dark, and steamy.

Rich in flavour, nutty, and mellow.

or some other coffee “descriptions,” which crack me up a bit, might work.

  31. Anissa@hope4peyton on January 21, 2009 at 8:27 pm

    How about
Who ordered a tall, skinny, extra hot Caffeinatrix?

  34. The Caffeinatrix on January 13, 2009 at 3:29 pm

Submit to the bold flavor…I like that. Makes me feel like a bad ass.

  35. The Caffeinatrix on January 26, 2009 at 8:24 am

Oh man…I really miss Earl Grey. Before I discovered chai I was all about EG and it’s fruit loopy essence.
