Creepiest. Babies. Ever.

January 20, 2008

Prepare yourself for the weirdest, freakiest babies you’ve ever seen. Note their expressionless faces, their soulless eyes. Note their uncanny ability to sing like old pros while still unable to speak intelligibly. This is the devil’s handiwork, I tell you. We’re still asking why—WHYYYYY did our eyes have to see this?

Okay, okay, I confess. The freakishly talented Stepford Babies are the result of some seriously low-tech trickery. They came to us on a benign looking videotape called Singing Babies, given to my son by a friend. We like to put it on for company and pretend there’s nothing unusual about it.

Wow, Izzy, that is some scary stuff right there. I’ve watched a lot of crappy kid stuff in my day (Doodlebops, anyone?)…but I think those babies take the cake.

Weird. And that one blonde baby has freakishly large eyes. You don’t think her eyes are really that big, do you? Or is because their mouths are so oddly small?

Ick. Reminds of Anime, which, BTW, my daughter loves. Ick.

Wow - that is seriously disturbing.
There is a local realtor who does low-budget ads where his children sing his jingle off-key, using that same technology. Ay-yi-yi… heebie-jeebies!

Great, so now I have to add singing soulless babies to my list of recurring nightmares. Chucky and the guy with the ski mask and hooded sweatshirt who chase me all the time while I try to scream will be glad for the company.

Oh. My. Creepy!

You know what would even be better? Is if they used a man with a beard for one of the creepy kids’ mouths. A baby with a beard would definitely take the creepy factor up a notch or two.

That is seriously messed up. I am a little scared. Though, I am pretty sure I have seen one or two of those Stepford babies in the area.

Hmmm. That’s kind of freaky — and for some strange reason I find myself wanting to watch it again…

These are the people we always fear will solicit Cool Mom Picks and then we have to find a polite way to say “OH MY GOD NO NEVER NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!”

Just you wait…you’re going to start getting them on your site soon. Heh.
