If you’re not familiar with it, Tend Skin is a product that helps stop those nasty ingrown hair bumps that you get a) when your wax job starts to grow back in or b) when you shave against the grain in your bikini line area or c) you’re cheap and lazy and keep using a razor after it’s gotten dull. Oh, wait. That’s me. Never mind.
While I’m not a fan of the Brazilian wax, I do need to manicure my bikini line regularly. And as I have blogged about in the past, it seems to be getting more bold in it’s advancement beyond the pantylines so waxing actually makes more sense than shaving. But I’ve never been able to figure out how people (read: those in adult entertainment *ahem*) manage to be free of a single ingrown hair anywhere. It’s like some kind of trade secret or something and nobody’s giving it up willingly.
Well, greedy strippers and aestheticians, you no longer have this mom over a barrel. Nope. I have found Tend Skin. And it does work.
But there is one thing I can’t overlook; that being the price. You need to use Tend Skin EVERY DAY and it goes fast. Particularly when you’re using a cotton ball, which soaks up about half of this liquid gold and wastes it.
When a 4 oz bottle costs $20 plus S&H (what I paid ordering directly from the company) that can add up quick, especially when you use it on multiple areas. A dripless gel or roll-on formula would work much better, in my opinion. And when they read this and use my idea, they better cut me in on the profits!
In a nutshell, Tend Skin works well but it’s prohibitive price is a sticking point for me. That aside, they don’t test on animals (which I love) so if you’re considering buying it, at least you can do so with a crystal clear conscience!
