These Boots Were Made for Kissing!

barbie2.jpgMy step-aunt came to visit on Saturday and she brought these adorable pink cowboy boots for TQ, who, after kissing them, announced that she loves her boots so much she’s going to marry them. It’s fun to see her so excited and it kind of makes me want to go out and buy myself a pair of totally frivolous and impractical shoes SO BEAUTIFUL that I would be compelled to kiss them, too! What kind of shoes would inspire you to kiss them?

And speaking of which…how could I forget this video? If you haven’t seen “Shoes” by now, you’re long overdue and I absolutely promise you’ll laugh or maybe even snort a beverage out your nose. (A hat tip to those goddesses of pop culture over at MamaPop for bringing it to my attention)

Don’t forget about the Support a Mom contest over at the Mom Trap. Write a post about a pregnant mom or mom-to-be that you know who needs a little support or TLC and she might win some nice goodies and/or services (spa day or housecleaning) all thanks to you!

I think our older relatives suppose to buy those things that we would never buy ourselves. So where are YOUR hottie boots? lol

Those are amazing, what a lucky girl! Now I know what I want to get my niece!

they remind me so much of lilly’s boots in lilly’s purple plastic purse. adorable.

Every once in a while I buy my kids some fun shoes just to see how happy it makes them. Unfortunately we don’t have relatives that buy the fun stuff, so sometimes I have to be the impractical one.

    Love them!

Like Tori, I usually spring for some colorful, frivolous footwear for the girls in addition to the standard Mary Janes.

Oh definitely! Fun shoes are a must but I usually buy her those when it\’s warm. It\’s just too hot here for all the boots and ugly Ugg knock-offs they start stocking in September.

I think I’d have to go for these but for that price, they should kiss me back. And more.

  9. By Izzy on Dec 5, 2006

    And more…lol

For that price, they better make out with you AND clean your house!

    I linked to them!

OMG - I am TOTALLY a show person, and I can relate to loving a pair of shoes so much that you almost worship them. In fact, I have a frequent shopper card for my favorite shoe store on my key chain!

I’m working on a special shoe post for my blog — photos definitely be involved.

sorry — I meant to say SHOE person (not that showing off shoes isn’t cool and fun for me!)

I am a sucker for boots. I just aquired my first pair of boots without heels though - thinking I’m going to be a clumsy pregnant woman. Try http://www.fireflync.com for some drooling.

I would kiss those pink boots too. They are fabulous.

For me to kiss a pair of shoes…they would need to be stuffed with $100 bills…

I can see why she’d kiss them, they’re adorable. If Cinderella were a cowgirl, that’s what she’d wear.

I swear that if girl.imp ever sees those boots, I will rue the day!

Those boots are great as are all of your shoe selections. I tell my husband that men just don’t have the “shoe gene” but we women most cerainly DO.

My mother in law bought those same boots for my youngest daughter. She loves them and they look flat out adorable.

Ah, we teach them the important things. Leah loves shoes just like me too! I have to say that
    these

    would warrant a smooch.

Those are soooo kissable! I don’t blame her at all!!
My five year old is obsessed with shoes. She draws them. She talks about them. Whenever she gets a new pair, she SLEEPS with them! Oh yes, she does. She will clutch them like a teddy bear or something. It is the funniest thing…

“Let’s Get Some More Shoes, BETCH!” Cracks me the hell up every single time I watch it!
